About This Service
Forty-Nine Floors Up, and Italian Rather Than Steak
Monarch sits on the 49th floor of The National downtown, roughly 600 feet above Elm Street, and it is a wood-fired modern Italian restaurant from two-Michelin-star chef Danny Grant. The view is the draw. The pasta is the reason you stay.
What Monarch Actually Is
It is frequently mistaken for a steakhouse because it cooks over fire and charges accordingly. The menu says otherwise.

The room opened in 2021 and remains the best skyline dining in the city, which is a claim the Dallas Morning News made at the time and which nothing since has seriously challenged. Kessaku, a sushi restaurant, shares the floor, so a group that cannot agree has an unusual out.

This is the largest published private capacity of any room in our dining collection, which makes Monarch the default for a corporate dinner that outgrew a private room.
For a big group with a view, this is the booking. We handle the table, the floor, and the cars downstairs: ask the concierge or request a reservation.
