One correction worth making, because the rumor circulates: Avanti has not closed. Its Fort Worth outpost closed back in 2017, and that is almost certainly where the confusion started. The Dallas restaurant on McKinney Avenue is open and serving dinner nightly.

The restaurant claims a Wine Spectator recognized list. The award year is not verifiable and its own awards page does not resolve, so we do not state a year.
